Santa’s Cookie Jar — Guess With Your Mind, Not Your Hunger

Some December traditions arrive with bells, others with glitter.
Ours arrived this Monday morning in the form of a giant, transparent jar packed with cookies — the kind of object that instantly transforms otherwise serious adults into mathematicians, detectives, and part-time probability theorists.
Santa clearly thinks we’ve been exceptionally good this year. Or he simply enjoys watching a community try to outsmart a jar. Either way, I’m here for it.
What’s happening this week
Game #2 is beautifully simple:
Guess how many cookies are inside Santa’s see-through jar.
That’s it. One number. No decimals, no ranges, no philosophical answers such as “enough.”
The first 100 people who make a guess are automatically in the running for gifts. And the rules keep things fair — and oddly charming:
– One guess per person.
– Whole numbers only.
– No photos of the jar. Santa believes in imagination, not ChatGPT.
– Exact guesses win over “closest.”
– If multiple people are equally close: earliest submission takes it.
(Yes, timing is suddenly a competitive sport.)
You’ll find the cookie jar at Reception, Building 1 from Dec 1 to Dec 4, 09:00–18:00.
The grand reveal — and the big prize — happens on Friday, Dec 5 at 10:30 AM.
Why these games matter
Here’s what I love about weeks like this:
When you pause to guess a cookie jar, something softens. Busy mornings become curious ones. People gather around reception in clusters, trying to measure the unmeasurable with their minds. Someone whispers a theory. Someone else starts counting the visible cookies. Everyone knows it’s ridiculous — and that’s exactly what makes it delightful.
This community builds in public, even when the thing we’re building is a collective moment of holiday silliness.
A tiny whisper about Week 3
“See nothing. Sense everything.”
Interpret freely. Or don’t. That’s part of the fun.
Good luck — and may your inner cookie estimator shine.
