About the Event
Climate change is no longer just a forecast or a scientific hypothesis. The consequences of human activity make their impact on the Earth and it is changing.
In 2002 two businessman – Patagonia’s founder Yvon Chouinard and Blue Ribbon Flies’ owner – Craig Mathews, established 1% for the Planet – a global network of companies which donate 1% of their annual income back to the environment. The 1% for the Planet model works threw the partnership between its members – companies, individuals and non-governmental organizations. Today, the organization has more than 1800 members from over 45 countries. Since its beginning, 1% for the Planet has certified more than $200 million in support to approved environmental nonprofits.
